Betting Preview: Chievo did very well last season ending up on 9th with 50 points. But can they keep up this trend and reproduce this performance? I would say likely not, usually when small/medium teams are concerned, it's very hard to stay focused for two seasons in a row. Chievo coach Rolando Maran signed Paul-José Mpoku from Standard Liege, Fabrizio Cacciatore from Sampdoria, 33 years old Antonio Floro Flores from Sassuolo while Dejan Lazarevic returned after loan spell. All in all, it's more or less the same group as last season. But I think it's going to be hard to finish on that position (or better) again.

Inter on the other hand, are a team that must build on their good momentum. They ended up on 4th last season which was a good performance taking into account they were on 8th a season before. Saphir Taider and Lorenzo Crisetig left for Bologna, Diego Laxalt to Genoa, Cristiano Biraghi to Pescara and Juan Jesus was loaned to Roma. But they secured the services of Antonio Candreva from Lazio (for €22 million by the way), Dodô from Roma, Cristian Ansaldi from Genoa, Marcelo Brozovic from Dinamo Zagreb, Caner Erkin from Fenerbahce and Éver Banega from Sevilla. Big players came in and they also have a new coach in the person of Frank de Boer, who did quite well for Ajax since 2010.

It's quite clear that this Inter is going to make an impact in the Serie A this season and I would expect them to start with a win in Verona. -0.5 at 2.14 looks good, it's a little bit risky being the first round but I do like this bet.
